Jacquelyne Pierson is an artist whose work centers on the complexities of emotion, intimacy, and the human body. A capacity for capturing the subtle nuances of relationships has remained a constant in her ten-year career, which has encompassed fashion, editorial, product and commercial photography.

After a recent struggle with a serious illness that changed the way she viewed the world, both in daily life and through the camera lens, Jacquelyne Mae harnessed the opportunity to create images reflective of her newfound outlook. Her work doesn’t shy away from discomfort or vulnerability, and is defined by a dynamic, open-ended connection between photographer, subject, and spectator.

Jacquelyne shoots on 35mm film, Polaroid, and digital. She currently lives in New York City and works worldwide .
